Go Broncos!

First Bath

Etta's cord fell off at the end of last week, so it was time for her first bath.  She was a pretty cool customer about the whole event - which seems rather typical of this little one. 

Milk Coma

I forgot how sweet a satisfied newborn with a milk coma is.

Little One

Etta is so little that we started to use a clothespin from Nana's Christmas decorations to cinch the waist of her newborn pants, so they won't slide off.  She already lives up to her name ("little one")!

Head Held High

One of our Christmas presents this year was Etta's first head lift.  

Decker Family Christmas

We were excited to introduce Etta to Rick and Mariah.

Norah was especially taken with the Strider bike from Rick and Mariah and the backpack and lunch bag from Kim and Bridger.  

With two carseats and two dogs, we were out of room in the car.  Fortunately, Santa arrived with a Skybox.  

When our neighbor found out that our baby's middle name is Decker, he asked whether we gave her that name because Eric Decker is having such a great year with the Broncos.  Needless to say, that wasn't the reason, but we are enjoying our new Decker jerseys.

Bullock Family Christmas

Norah joined her cousins to decorate gingerbread houses (read: eat insane amounts of candy) and for a gift exchange.  After that much sugar and stimulation, you can imagine how well bed time went tonight.  

First Doctor's Appointment

Etta's first doctor's appointment was this morning.  The most exciting news is that she is already back up to her birth weight.  Especially given what a little pip-squeak she is, we're grateful for such robust weight gain.  

Going Home

Etta was cleared of any worry that she might have a lung infection, and we were discharged last night.  It's so good to be home.

The previous photo reminded us so much of a photo of Norah that we couldn't help but dig it out.  Here's Norah at eight days old:

Nana was dancing with Baby Etta, so Norah grabbed the Baby Jesus from the creche and started dancing with him.  It was a sweet moment until we realized that the song playing was "All My Exes Live in Texas."

More Photos

We've continued to enjoy introducing Etta to family and watching Norah warm up to her little sister. 

Norah and Nana made Etta a birthday cake and brought it to the hospital.  While Etta wasn't able to enjoy it, Norah had a second helping of frosting in her honor.  

Etta has been sampling her fingers.  We were pretty tickled when she found this combination.
