We're on Fire!
Church got a little more lively when two fire trucks showed up this morning. Apparently, a man in the shelter threw his phone in anger; it started sparking and set off the alarm. All of the kids - including the girls - loved checking out the fire engines and talking to the fire fighters.

Carnival
We celebrated carnival at Nick's school yesterday. The highlight (pun intended) of the evening was the girls' pink and purple hair highlights. They left them in and wore them to church today. In addition to the food trucks, games and activities, the administrators competed in an obstacle course which left Nick with a bruised rib. It was an eventful evening for all.

A Gaggle of Kids
While Nick worked and I took Dee to the symphony for her birthday, the kids played with friends down the street. It was a gaggle of kids, and they had a great time.

Last Day for Our MVP
During Norah's last week of preschool, she was her class' MVP. She was so excited to bring in photos of her American Girl doll, Mary Ellen, of her serving dinner to homeless women, of tumbling, and one of the family with the mermaids at her birthday party. Since the letter of the week was "R," she could bring in a "show and share" every day as long as it began with the letter R. The first day, she brought in Rapunzel, and the second she brought in a book she likes to read. She was excited about her final day of preschool, but it was a much harder day for her mom. She humored me and took a photo with Ms. Brittany, her former speech therapist. To celebrate, Norah used her Dairy Queen gift card to take us all for ice cream after dinner. Everyone enjoyed that part of the day.

More Babies
Perhaps to honor Mother's Day, the girls' American Girl dolls now have baby sisters. Here's Norah's take on how they're doing as older sisters.

Preschool Continuation
Our little girl is now a preschool graduate! She had a beautiful continuation ceremony tonight. The class sang "Do a Deer" and "The World is a Rainbow" before receiving their degrees. We then finished the night with a potluck and a pinata. It was an emotional night thanking her amazing teachers: Ms. Kim and Ms. Miriam. It's been such an incredible year, and Norah really blossomed in their class. It's going to be hard to say goodbye to them!
